Goals for 2011-2012
1. Conduct annual review and revision of consensus maps
2. Analyze consensus maps for continuity, overlaps, gaps, and alignment to Common Core State Standards
3. Post meeting agendas and minutes online
4. Draft grade-by-grade user-friendly summaries of Common core State ELA Standards for teacher use
5. Investigate and share finding regarding best practices, publish programs, and technological resources for ELA to prepare for future piloting
Goals for 2010 - 2011
1. Complete and review entry of content, skills, and essential questions for all draft consensus maps Prek -11
2. Create format and style guidelines for ELA curriculum maps
3. Begin posting meeting agendas and minutes online
4. Develop capacity for sustainable in-house professional development in ELA through pilot lesson study sessions
5. Investigate and share findings regarding best practices, published programs, and technological resources for ELA to prepare for future piloting
