Arrival/Dismissal Reminders

• School starts at 8:45 a.m. and ends at 3:25 p.m. Students are considered late at 8:55 a.m. Your child will need to be signed into school by a parent or guardian if he/she arrives at 8:55 a.m. or later.

• Students cannot be dropped off prior to 8:45 a.m. unless they are attending the Before School Program (BCCCP).

• After 3:15 p.m., we are not able to call for your child for dismissal. You will be able to sign out and wait for your child.

• If your child will be leaving school before regular dismissal time, please send in a note.  It helps us to have your child ready at the appropriate time.

• Parents that wish to pick up their children at dismissal time may sign them out and wait in the foyer. The students will be dismissed at 3:25 p.m. We will only call students out of class early for medical or other appointments.

• If your child needs to be dropped off at a different location or will be picked up, a note MUST be sent in with your child, dropped off at the office, or faxed to us at 279-0612. For the safety of your child, please do not call the office for us to write a note unless it is an emergency. We have no way of knowing that the person calling is the parent and classes are interrupted when children are called down for bus notes.

If Your Child Is Going to Be Absent or Late

• If your child is going to be absent or late for any reason, please notify us before school if at all possible. Both the main office number (279-4600 ext. 2003) and the nurse’s office number (279-4600 ext. 2012) have voice mail, so you may call very late or very early and leave a message.

• When your child returns to school from an absence, you must send in a signed note with a reason for the absence.  Without a note, your child’s absence is recorded as unexcused.

Visitors

• We welcome visitations to our school.  To protect and ensure the safety of the children in the building, all visitors MUST report to the office and sign in/out and receive a visitor badge.

• If your children will be leaving school prior to the regular dismissal time, please send a note with them in the morning.   When picking up your child you must sign him/her out at the front entrance window.  We will call your child's classroom and he/she will meet you in the foyer.
