Role of the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the Schools:

  • SLP's work with students who have communication limitations that
    affect success in classroom activities, social interaction, literacy and
    learning.

  • SLP's work with students who have communication limitations in a
    variety of areas (e.g. oral language, written language, social language,
    articulation, fluency, voice).

  • The SLP's role in school includes prevention, identification, evaluation
    and intervention of students' communication disorders.
