Sweet Search:  This is a great search engine for students.  It is simple but fairly comprehensive.

Ask Jeeves for Kids:  This is a unique search tool that allows you phrase your search in the form of a question.

CyberSleuthKids:  This easy to use to subject directory is geared for students.

Fact Monster:  It is from the Learning Network which is a well respected organization.  It is very kid friendly and easy to use.

IPL Youth Divison:  The Youth Division of the Internet Public Library (IPL) provides coherent, well-organized access to quality information resources.

ALA:  This directory from the American Library Association is easy to use and well organized.

KidsClick: A database of over 6400 sites compiled by librarians.  This is an outstanding directory that is well maintained.  (One of my favorites)

Ask.com:  This wonderful search engine has lots of tips for better searching and is easy to use.  It is a great alternative to Google.

Google:  This popular search engine will usually produce very accurate results very quickly. This is an excellent choice if good keyword searching techniques are used.
