In an effort to keep students safe on Prom Night and beyond, Tamarac’s SADD chapter organized a mock DWI crash at the school on May 10 for juniors and seniors. Students, parents, police and emergency responders participated in the fake crash. “Our goal is to show you what could happen if you or one of your friends made a bad decision,” Eagle Mills Fire Chief Glenn Myers told students. “Live your life. Love your life.
But not just for tonight, for the next 50 years,” added Deputy Jim Phelps. Thank you to the Center Brunswick, Eagle Mills, Mountain View and Pittstown fire departments, Rensselaer County Sheriff’s Department, Mohawk Ambulance, Kneer’s Auto, McLoughlin & Mason Funeral Home, and C.W. Whalen & Sons for their help with the event and their commitment to keeping our students safe.
