RECORD 8-4-0 3rd Place in the Wasaren League
NEWS 10-28 Alonna Garmley scored her first modified goal to tie the score at 1-1 against Stillwater's JV/Modified team, before the Warriors scored a late goal to take the win. Jackie Rodda assisted on the goal. The Bengals defense played strong all game led by Hannah Kreiger, Laura Bornt, Cassidy Medved and Camille Gardner limiting Stillwater to just 4 shots in the game. 7th grader Kendall Wilson subbed for starting goalkeeper Eliza Johnson, who missed the game. Wilson stopped 2 of the 4 shots she faced in goal. 10-26 Cassidy Medved had a goal, two assists and made 8 saves in goal to help lead Tamarac to a 3-1 win at 3rd place Cambridge. Jordin Nitz added two goals and Camille Gardner added an assist to roundout the scoring. The defense was led by Laura Bornt, Alonna Garmley, Hannah Kreiger and Lauren Kazunas while Eliza Johnson and Abbie Tarbox added a combined 6 saves in goal to protect the win. The Bengals now have moved into a tie for second place, which they can claim outright with a win on Friday over visiting Stillwater. 10-24 Lauren Grogan scored the winning goal for the Lady Bengals with just 20 seconds to play off a beautiful cross by Eliza Johnson to break a 2-2 tie at home against visiting Greenwich. Jackie Rodda and Jordin Nitz each scored a goal and assisted each other to roundout the scoring. Kendall Wilson, Eliza Johnson, Hannah Kreiger and Abbie Tarbox each played a quarter in goal to preserve the win. The defense was led by Alonna Garmley, Laura Bornt, Hannah Kreiger, Grace Warrington, Magnolia Waters and Lauren Kazunas. 10-20 Jordin Nitz scored the game winning goal with just under 10 minutes to play to lead Tamarac to a 2-1 victory at Hoosick Falls. Lauren Grogan's first-half goal put the Bengals on top 1-0 in the first half, but the Panthers retaliated to tie the score at one apiece. Jackie Rodda had both assists to roundout the scoring. Abbie Tarbox and Kendall Wilson made a combined 8 saves in the game. The defense was led by Laura Bornt, Alonna Garmley, Magnolia Waters, Camille Gardner, Grace Warrington and Lauren Kazunas. 10-18 The Lady Bengals played their best game of the year against league-leading Schuylerville going toe-to-toe with the Horses despite being without goalies Kendall Wilson and Cassidy Medved for the game. Eliza Johnson stopped three of the five shots she faced in the first half and Abbie Tarbox came off the bench in the second half and shutdown the host team stopping 4 shots in the process. Down 2-0, the girls responded with a beautiful goal by Jordin Nitz off a pass from Lauren Grogan to close within a goal but couldn't get the equalizer. The defense was led by Hannah Kreiger, Camille Gardner, Alonna Garmley, Magnolia Waters, Laura Bornt, Grace Warrington and Lauren Kazunas who helped keep the Horses at bay. Schuylerville's goals came on an 'own goal', when we accidentally scored on ourselves and a breakaway. Other than those, the girls controlled the action all game long. 10-14 Granville went out to an early 1-0 lead on an 'own goal' but the Lady Bengals responded with a goal by Jordin Nitz off a pass from Cassidy Medved to tie the game by halftime, the first of her two assists in the game. In the second half, Jackie Rodda netted two goals and added an assist on a beautiful goal by Eliza Johnson and Lydia Waters scored her first modified goal on a far post finish off a cross by Jordin Nitz to roundout the scoring as the Benga;s won going away by the score of 5-1. The defense was led by Hannah Kreiger, Camille Gardner, Alonna Garmley and Laura Bornt. Kendall Wilson, Eliza Johnson and Cassidy Medved made a combined 10 saves in the game. 10-12 7th Grader Lauren Grogan scored two first half goals and 8th grader Jordin Nitz added an insurance goal late to lead the Bengals to a 3-1 victory over visiting Hoosic Valley. Abbie Tarbox had her first modified point with an assist and scoring leader Jackie Rodda added two assists to roundout the scoring. The defense was led by Camille Gardner, Alonna Garmley and Laura Bornt and Kendall Wilson and Eliza Johnson made a combined 7 saves in goal. 10-06 The Lady Bengals went down in defeat to the Stillwater Modified/JV squad by the score of 2-0. Despite having thirteen 7th graders playing against all 8th, 9th and 10th graders, the team played outstanding defense all game long allowing just 10 shots. Cassidy Medved, Eliza Johnson and Kendall Wilson combined to save eight of them. The offense struggled to get off just two shots in the game. 10-4 The Lady Bengals won their third game in a row by defeating Cambridge by the score of 4-1. Down 1-0 at halftime, the team erupted with 4 consecutive goals to defeat the visiting Indians. Jackie Rodda broke the tie, followed by Grace Warrington's first ever modified goal, which proved to be the game-winner. Jordin Nitz and Audra Livolsi added insurance goals in the second half both off Eliza Johnson's assists. Lauren Grogan, Grace Warrington and Camille Gardner each added an assist to complete the scoring. In goal, Eliza Johnson stopped four of the five shots she faced in the first half while Cassidy Medved and Kendall Wilson played a scoreless second half making a combined 10 saves against the Indians. 09-30 7th Grader Lauren Grogan scored her first modified goal off a pass by classmate Camille Gardner to stake the Lady Bengals to the early 1-0 lead on the road at Greenwich. The Witches struck back to tie the game momentarily but 8th graders Jackie Rodda and Jordin Nitz both netted goals off assists by Cassidy Medved after halftime to propel the team to a 3-1 victory. The Tamarac defense, led by Hannah Kreiger and Laura Bornt held the Witches to just two shots on goal. Eliza Johnson and Kendall Wilson combined for the win in goal. The team is in 2nd place behind Schuylerville with a record of 2-1. 09-28 Jackie Rodda registered her first career hat trick scoring three goals and adding an assist as the Lady Bengals rolled over Hoosick Falls 4-0. Audra Livolsi scored her first modified goal and Jordin Nitz added two assists and Cassidy Medved and Lauren Grogan added an assist. The defense led by Hannah Kreiger, Lauren Kazunas and Laura Bornt played spectacular all game and Kendall Wilson, Cassidy Medved and Eliza Johnson made a combined two saves in goal to preserve the shutout. 09-26 After a scoreless first half against Schuylerville, the Bengals stormed out of halftime by taking the lead 1-0 on a beautiful goal by Jordin Nitz off a feed by Cassidy Medved. The 8th grader went 'top shelf' on the goalie to open the scoring. The Horses then responded with two goals to defeat the Lady Bengals 2-1 despite an outstanding defensive effort by Hannah Kreiger, Lauren Kazunas, Laura Bornt and Grace Warrington.
