Philosophy
The process of creating art is equally as important
as the finished product. My curriculum focuses on a strong
foundation in the concepts of art and design, experimentation of
media and techniques, and exploration of work through creative
problem-solving. Students who do well will show achievement in the
five areas that make up the journey from process to product:
researching, creating, responding, resolving, and communicating.
Grading
Most summative assessments will be based on the
criteria mentioned above and rated on a five point scale. In
general, each assessment will follow the same basic format, but will
be customized and weighted to fit the specific objectives of the
projects.
