What is Brittonkill eNews?
Brittonkill eNews is an e-mail notification system that allows parents or community members to sign up to receive periodic e-mails with news and announcements about Tamarac schools. Examples may include announcements of schools closing early due to weather, school report cards being sent home, or other important information. Brittonkill schools understands the annoyance that too many e-mails can cause and will limit the eNews e-mails to important information.
Will Brittonkill share my e-mail address with anyone?
Absolutely not. E-mail addresses will be kept completely private and will not be released to anyone. Only the school superintendent and building principals can authorize the sending out of eNews announcements.
How can I sign up for Brittonkill eNews?
Just send an e-mail message with "subscribe" in the subject line to bcsenews@brittonkill.k12.ny.us.
Please also tell us what school or schools you have children in or are interested in, so we can send you information that pertains to your children's school.
If you would like to only receive the eNewsletter, please let us know that as well.
I signed up at a school event but haven't received an eNews. Why?
If you signed up for eNews at an open house or other school event but haven't received an eNews e-mail, please send us another request to bcsenews@brittonkill.k12.ny.us. Unfortunately, e-mail addresses are sometimes hard to read so the e-mails may not be getting through to the correct address.
What if I decide I don't want to receive Brittonkill eNews?
Just send an e-mail message with "unsubscribe" in the subject line to bcsenews@brittonkill.k12.ny.us. Your e-mail address will immediately be deleted from the eNews database.
Where can I find eNewsletters?
eNewsletters are usually e-mailed out once a month during the school year (except when a print publication is going out the same month). eNewsletters are also posted to the school homepage. To read eNewsletters from previous months, visit the Forms/Publications webpage.
What if my e-mail address changes?
Just send an e-mail to bcsenews@brittonkill.k12.ny.us letting us know your new e-mail address and your information will be updated.
If I don't sign up for eNews, will I miss out on important announcements like school closings?
Absolutely not. Brunswick (Brittonkill) Central School District understands not everyone has access to e-mail. For important announcements like schools closing early due to weather, the district will continue to use existing parental notification systems like the automated phone system.
