TAMARAC SPEAKERS BUREAU

Tamarac Elementary School Family Members,
We invite you to share your expertise as a volunteer of the

Tamarac Speakers Bureau

To add to our students’ learning experience and to complement our school curriculum, we are seeking individuals from our community to volunteer to speak on various topics throughout the school year.

Are you willing to share your expertise on a topic?

Perhaps you:

·         Are a Revolutionary War re-enactor

·         Have traveled to, or are from, a country that our students are studying

·         Are an avid bird watcher

·         Study the stars and astronomy

·         Teach a topic at a local college or school relevant

to our curriculum

·         Celebrate a holiday using traditional customs

·         Raise and care for farm animals

·         Are a member of the Brunswick Historical Society
and can share local history

·        [Insert your topic here!]

Become part of the Tamarac Speakers Bureau by printing the form below, filling it out, and returning it to the elementary school library.

We are interested in recruiting Speakers Bureau volunteers throughout the year and are using this opportunity to build an initial base of potential speakers.

Volunteers may be contacted throughout the year to speak in classrooms or to be called on to answer questions in their area of expertise. However, signing up does not necessarily mean you will be asked to come in during the school year; it will depend on classroom needs and your availability.

Please direct any questions about the Speakers Bureau to Janice Toomajian, Elementary School Librarian at 270-4600 Ext. 2009 or jtoomajian@brittonkill.k12.ny.us.

Print the form below and return it to the elementary library:
Speakers Bureau Registration Form pdf.

Thank you to the Brittonkill PTSA for endorsing this project.
