Project: "Super You" |
| |
| The Elementary faculty, staff and
students are being introduced to Project: "Super You." |
| This is a new goal-setting program aimed at improving
nutrition and fitness all year long. |
| |
| The participants will help to
create Tamarac's own version the the Guinness Book of World Records. Our book will be called
Tamarac's "Super You" Record Book. |
| |
| Students and adults can decide to
meet fitness and/or nutrition goals together, in small or large groups, or just as individuals. The goals will need
to have a measure of time or a number showing repetitions. Participants may choose to
achieve any number of goals all year long. |
| |
| Goal sheets are available to all
participants in the main hallway next to the Nurse's Office. During the day,
goal sheets can also be picked up outside of Miss Turner's office where you will
find Tamarac's "Super You" Record Book.
Participants will be able to put their own goal sheet in the record book
when it has been completed. If a participant improves on their
previous record, he/she may remove their own record and put in the new
record in its place. All other records will stay in the book for all to read and inspire. |
| |
| Sample goals achieved may look
like this; |
| I
ate an apple a day for two weeks. |
| I
did 55 sit-ups in one minute last night. |
| I
gave up soda for one week. |
| I
did 73 push-ups in one day. |
| I
shot 10 baskets in a row from the free-throw line. |
| I
ran one mile in 9 minutes and 15 seconds. |
| My
record for the shortest amount of time to run around the block is 3 minutes. |
| |
| So
Parents, are you a
Super You? Join us in creating our "Super You" Record Book. Show the children of Tamarac Elementary that health and
wellness is a priority in your life. |
