EDUCATION AWARDS |

Each year, five girls and five boys from our 5th grade classes are nominated
by the PE teachers for regional recognition. |
|
Our award winners for 2011 are Lauren Lockrow, Kayla Doody, Carlie
Genecco, Tyler Petersen, Anthony Barbera and Evan Petersen. |

PE CENTRAL
CHALLENGE AWARDS |
| Fifty-Two, 4th and 5th
grade students decided to take the 2006 PE Central Challenge. This
challenge was created as a nation-wide program to encourage youngsters to
practice a number of movements related specifically to the National
Physical Education Standards. The tasks are developmentally
appropriate and are designed to motivate youngsters to practice and
improve some of their physical skills. The challenge is optional and
the students must choose to practice six different skills for the duration
of the challenge.
Those students who completed all six tasks successfully
receive a Gold Pin, five tasks equals a Silver Pin
, and 4 tasks equals a Bronze pin. |
